Hi there. I'm new to this forum but every mechanic i bring this problem to has no idea what to do so this is my only hope. I have a 96 Honda civic 5speed, and recently my car has been stalling out every time i press the clutch in to come to a stop. If i turn the car on for the first time, it'll idle just fine until it runs out of gas, but once i get to driving and i have to come to a stop (involving me pressing in the clutch), it just stalls out on me. It'll even do it if i'm driving down the road and i'm not comming to a stop. I could just be driving and press in the clutch for maybe 5-8seconds, and the battery and oil light will come one and i'm stalled. The check engine light was previously on for "faulty catalyic converter" but since my car has been stalling the light has been going away. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?
