95 del sol grinding noise, possible transmission
Yesterday as I was driving out of my driveway, my car began to make a very loud grinding noise and stopped moving. Car Idles fine in park/neutral but reverse/D1-4 it will make the grinding noise. Fluid levels are fine.
Today I lifted the car up and took the right wheel off since the sound seems to originate from the right side.
It seems like the sound is coming from the right cv joint on the interior side, possible spline damage. I'm not sure though because the cv joint still seems to spin fine but the car won't move when I hit the gas.
I have some videos from inside the car as I'm shifting gears, and also pointing at the right cv joint.

I'm pretty savvy when it comes to figuring out how to fix things myself. I'd rather not have to pay a mechanic 700+ to fix this for me. But if this sounds like a job too hard for me, then I don't want to mess it up any more.

i would find a replacement transmission. rebuilding isnt worth the 1200-1900 to rebuild these.
i've bought 92-95 civic auto transmissions used for around 200-500 dollars. removing the unit shouldnt take more than a couple hours.

I lifted the left side of the car as well to see what that CV Joint looked like.
I noticed while the right side CV joint was rotating in gear; the left side was not. Should they both be rotating or not at all?
