Default 95 Civic in limp mode...TPS and CKP CEL codes -- please help!

recently had my motor build...
im running a 1995 ex civic, D16 y8 block. and a non v-tech head( not sure what year or what modle)..
here is just some history on the car..
my motor mount actually broke, ( motor mount on the timming belt side)
got that fixed and now i am stuck in limp mode...
the car is throwing 2 codes... throttle pos. sensor.. and ckp sensor
i have replaced the tps, as well as 02 sensor and the coolent temp sensor, distributer, and new spark plugs...
when rebuilding the motor my ckp senser was not put back into the car. ( the wires had been cut. ) car has been running without the ckp sensor for around 8 months.
where does the ckp sensor plug in at..? i have got a new ckp sensor, but cant figure out where it plugs in at??

anything can help.. any suggestions please... :

Should bolt on right to the oil pump. If you're looking at it from the driver's side, just to the right of the crankshaft.

Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit: Are you talking about what part of the engine wire harness it connects too? If so, all I got is a diagram of the engine wire harness.

CKP sensor is inside the distributor. You'll more than likely have to replace the distributor as that sensor is not serviceable.

I believe you have to pull the lower cover assembly. Its the knock sensor.

Ditto.

CKF = Crank Fluctuation Sensor - Located on crank
CYP = Cylinder Position Sensor - Located in distributor

right, im tring to figure out where the electrical plug for that sensor plugs in... hopefully getting me out of limp mode... i found where it goes on my 96 hx but i cant find the plug on my 95 ex..
this is the only thing stopping me from throwing the turbo on my 96 i need to have the car going so i can start welding everything on... would this sensor be throwing my car into limp??

That's cause the 95 didn't have one. If you read anything in this post you'd see its only applicable to 96-00 civics. That means your motor (D16Y8 block) has the sensor and it doesn't have anything to plug into since the harnes is from a 95. I assume you need to either change the ECU or wire it into the harness and ECU.

Plus you haven't confirmed the code. Is it the CYP or CKF?

That's because 96-00 uses a CKF pictured below by pityocamptes, 92-95 doesn't need or use this and your ECU won't look for it. As I stated above the CKP sensor is in your distributor and isn't serviceable.

That's not a knock sensor its a CKF sensor, if I'm reading you right

Yes but there is also a CKP sensor (crank position sensor located in the distributor).

Again you don't have to wire it in because your ECU doesn't look for it. It's inside your distributor and isn't serviceable.

No don't change your ECU and don't wire it any where you're mistaking the CKF for the CKP (CRANK). It's definitely either CRANK later called CKP(code 4), TDC top dead center (code 8) or CYL later called CYP (code 9).See flowchart:

the 95 comes with a z6 and is obd1 and a y8 is obd2 and you dont have a vtec head on so if your running the stock ecu then wouldnt it looking for vtec. since the z6 was vtec and im sure that would solve problems.

Here are the codes:

4 CKP - crank position sensor
8 TDC - top dead center sensor
9 CYP - cylinder sensor
54 CKF - crank fluctuation sensor

I was thinking that if the code was 54 the ECU must not be original but after re-reading this I'm going to assume it's code 4 and it's the distributor.

Measure the resistance of the CKP sensor and test the two wires for a short or open.

Make sure the TPS connector gets 5 reference volts and check the three wires for a short or open.
