94 civic ex cheap exhaust's?
When i say cheap i don't mean 150 bucks. I'm just not looking to pay 6-7 hundred dollars on an exhaust. What i have now is an OBX type r header with a simple light weight down pipe. These are both about 8 months old and not having a problem with them at all. My pipe that runs from the down pipe to the muffler is all rusted out where it connects to the muffler, And the muffler has one of its support bars rusted out. So it's just kinda hanging on with a metal coat hanger at this point. As this was totally unexpected i don't have a good amount of money and really don't want to hear my loud raddling pipe hitting the sides on the muffler. Very loud. So with that said, Could anyone point me too a good site/sites where i can take a look at exhaust systems. Not Greddy. They don't have much and they are every expensive for my budget. Also i'm not looking for that really high pitched sound when ever im hitting the gas. Right now i have a stock exhaust with a welded on tip and a header and it's only loud when im getting it. Thanks!

+2 on the yonaka. Had one on my 96 GSR and it sounded great. And for 250 you really can't go wrong for the cost. Keep a cat if you can, I find a lot of exhaust get overly raspy once you go with a test pipe.

I'm looking to pay $250-$400. Will go to $500 i pref lower. @speedjunkie do you have a link to the exhaust? I'd like to look at as many as possible to choose from.

Disregard the pricing on their site. You can typically find them online for 250-300.

FYI a cat didn't change a thing when I added a cat. I believe the rasp is cause by the intake you use. A stock intake will sound the best while the resonance of a SRI or CAI will cause the rasp we all hate. This is still speculation because I have not had the chance to install a stock air box yet but adding a cat did nothing for the slight rasp.
I have a couple sound clips in my build thread.

The cheapest way to go, honestly, is to take it to an exhaust shop and have them weld in a replacement pipe and hanger. I'm not sure how prices are where you're at, but my local shop built a custom down pipe and welded everything from down pipe back for $125. I already had a muffler, tip, and cat back pipe. He did a cat delete, too. We have no emissions tests here, so it wasn't a big deal to get done.

Buy some N1 knockoff off eBay, and buy a Thrush Turbo muffler. Have the muffler and a resonator welded on at your local exhaust shop. That is the setup I personally run, it's the setup that I recommend, and the people who have listened to me have loved it.

i bought a 3" cat back from ebay and it has a pointless fart cannon that sounds like crap but all the welds are good and there are no leaks. if you still have your cat, you won't notice the high pitch raspy sound nearly as much. it was a little over $100

Even if you buy a new cat, and a new resonator, you're looking at $200-$250, with an absolute top price of $300.

Really all i need would be the muffler? The only really rusted out part is where the pipe was at one time connected to the muffler. It might be possible to cut off all the rusted parts and if i need it get a couple inches of pipe welded to that then to the muffler. In my opinion N1's are everywhere. I want something more unique. All take it to a shop and see what i can do for a good price. Then ill post back results. Thanks everyone.

I actually messaged Yonaka last night because the one you have showed me in the exact same as the one i need with a couple inches added to it. they are selling them both for the same price with the DX version cut down $200 I asked if they could match that price but i guess the one i need gets sold out allot. They said they are putting a sale on that at the end of November. I'm not going to wait that long. But for anyone that was looking. That's a great deal.
