Re: 94 civic cx hatch rally build
Hill climb on pavement isnt exactly rally.. I mean, it depends how you define rally.
If you want a real rally race i'll see you at rally america but my 3.0 civic will squash whatever you're going to run.. if you stay 2wd and n.a.

Re: 94 civic cx hatch rally build
no im now a retired rally driver
and this was my last build
that i just finished about a month ago
and now all the pictures are going up from 3 years in the making
a few friends of mine asked me too, thats why im doing this
I am currently teaching my cousin how to drive this very car
rally style but he still has alot to learn
hes still getting scared when he starts to power slide it into corners ^_-

Tell your cuz, its all about control. Not "pedal to the metal".

Nice build, I was thinking about rallying my civic beater too just for fun as always also a good read with the people nit picking your posts about your origin and what not! Hahaha some people spend too much time worrying about trivial things and forget we're on a car enthusiast web site smh.

Before you do anything else, put on the god damn timing cover!
Also, if you are rallyx'ing, kiss those fender liners good bye.
PS - Either weld the diff or get an LSD (clutch type).

Do I spy a B series? Or am I mistaken. Oil dipstick location and the coolant drain plug is what I'm going off of.
Didn't know people used the coin holder lol. I always throw my loose change in the ash container since I don't smoke.
Edit: Hey! I spy the green bay packers pajamas as well!

What did you use for the rear bumper mud flaps. Like when you put the screw in what did you use for the thread to catch and stay secure ?

Interested to see how the car turns out after paint. Nice build so far, very creative and resourceful. I like the idea of a "rally" civic.
