Default 93 Sol, Parasitic Battery Drain, Probably Rear Defroster??

Hi guys. Last time I used my car was Weds before Thanksgiving. I used the rear defroster for the first time in...probably a year. I turned it off when I got home and the car sat until last night when I went to pick up a pizza. Dead.

We jump started it and it came to life just fine. We ran it for maybe 10 minutes and then turned it off. This morning when I attempt to go to work it's dead again. Something is draining the battery when the car is turned off. I looked for others with the same problem and it seems there is some sort of issue with the rear defroster causing this? Is there an easy fix for this like pulling a fuse to keep it from happening? I could live without a rear defroster... Or is is something that's going to require finding the faulty wire?

How do you know it's the defroster? Disconnect it and wait and see. Maybe even check the battery.

I know the battery is good. I just got my oil changed a week ago and the battery tested good, also it's only 3 months old. I just have a feeling it's the rear defroster relay. It's causes a drain according to old posts and I just happened to use it. The relay is located in the under hood fuse/relay box, or under the dash?

If I just take it out, and the car doesn't die, that pretty much solves it right?

Typically the rear defroster turns off with the car.

There are links how to test for drain, to see what it is.

Check to make sure you have the dome light set to mid position and not on etc.

The dome light is set to off, because it has never worked in mid position and I never bothered to find out why. I've done that before, left it on by accident.

I only think rear defroster because it happened right after using it, and I never use it, and I'm referencing this thread https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/mystery-battery-drain-2067484/. It's the easiest fix at the moment, just pull the relay and hope it doesn't die after a jump. If it dies again then I'll go more in depth to see what's causing the draw.
