93' Civic - AC Recharge - R12 to R134a Retrofit?

I've got a 93' Civic CX that has its AC components still intact, but no refrigerant/freon in the system. Was wondering if I could buy one of those AC PRO kits found at Autozone/Walmart to refill the system up. My car still has the R12 ports, would it be okay to use their adapter to go ahead and fill it up with R134a? Do I need to do anything beforehand?

You'll need a kit with new low and high side adapters, so a retrofit kit. But I wouldn't use AC Pro, I would just buy some freon in a can, AC Pro has leak sealers in it and those are sketchy.
Oh but flushing is recommended as there may be residual oil and contaminants inside. Best thing to do would be change the drier and expansion valve, flush, vacuum and refill.
