92 eg will not start or crank
What's up guys.
Okay so I got a 92 eg with an f20b swap in it.
I was drivin home the other day on the highway an shifted to fifth with a little grind and then the car just started to rev without it getting power so I coasted to the side if the road an on my way the car just shut off and would not start back up. Since then I have changed the timing belt because it was shot. It didn't snap but it was missing some teeth. The timing was set perfect by the way. After that was changed I went to try and start the car but it did not crank at all. The fuel pump kicks on but the cr doesn't even try to start. I had my starter checked the other day and it work fine. Prior to me coming home when it all happened the car wouldn't start either so me an my buddies pop started it and it ran fine. This is my only car and would like to figure this out ASAP. Any help you guys can give me would be great

Check to see if your getting 12 volts to the little wire on the starter solenoid. It could be a bad connection, bad fuse, bad relay or bad ignition switch.all so check and make sure your grounds are good and clean.

Yea I checked the grounds and they are good. I'm going to check the wire on the starter when my cuz gets home. But would this also explain why it shut off on me ?

I agree with the timing.
If you were having problems with starting before, but it bump started, check to see if your clutch pedal still has the little rubber piece in it that hits the switch. My friends eg just did that to him about 2 weeks ago. We just looped the wires and it fired right up.

Check the black and white wire that goes from the left side underneath the dash to the engine bay. If you see the inspection sticker your in the right place now,now look down and you will see sum plugs if you look down they will be going to the cabin of car. Check them. Good luck . I was not getting any crank.
