92 civic won't turn off untill key removed
This problem started yesterday after I installed a steering column from a 97 civic into my 92.
My car will start fine but when I turn it off I can turn the key to the acc(I) position and my car will keep running untill I turn the key to the off position. Also there is no power running to the fan, radio, or cigarette lighter.
Also I swapped the key cylinder from my 92 into the ignition from the 97 but it was not a direct fit so I had to drill out the back of the 92 key cylinder to match the shape or the 97, could this be causing a problem?
I'm not sure if the ignition had this problem before I swapped the key cylinder, I tested it, but only made sure it started.

I plan on testing the ignition for continuity as soon as I get home from work.
I'm starting to think that the modified key cylinder isn't the problem because the key will still click into the on(II) position.
If I do have a problem with the ignition switch is it possible to mount a 92 civic ignition switch to a 97 ignition?

I figured it out, just needed to repin the 5 pin connector on the ignition switch harness, ek and eg were pinned different, suprisingly in a way that let the car run
