'92 Civic won't crank
I could use some help with my Civic.
The vehicle: 1992 Civic 4 dr sed. DX? (no emblems) Man. trans,243K, PS, PDB, A/C, cruise,
The problem: Won't crank over
Actions taken: Ck Batt. -fully charged & connections clean & tight. Ckd all fuses - OK (visual inspect.- test lite needs new bulb). Ckd Safety switch on top of clutch pedal and bypassed same - no effect either way. Can hear a relay on the left cowl post energizing when ign. switch is turned to Start and clutch pedal is depressed. R & R starter - cleaned mtg. surfaces on case & bell housing & all electrical connections to same. All clean & tight. Removed BLK/WHT wire to starter solenoid & jumped from Batt + term of starter cable to spade term. -cooling fan comes on, but starter won't energize. Dash lights go out when key is turned to Start. If held there, cooling fan comes on. While starter was off I grounded the case to the batt (w Batt + cable still connected) and jumped Batt + to solenoid spade term. Starter energizes.
I wanted to Ck voltage at the BLK/WHT wire @ the solenoid but my multi meter has decided not to work (should have bought a Fluke).
Previous issues: I replaced the water pump and timing belt. When I went to start the car it (briefly) cranked slowly and wouldn't start (w no excessive dimming of head lights). The cam and crank weren't disturbed during the replacement of the belt and pump. The only electrical connector disturbed was the cruise contl. (which didn't work anyway).
I'm at a loss. What have I missed?
Thanks, Andy

Re: '92 Civic won't crank
Thank you RonJ@HT.
You were right! I read your post around 12:30 this AM. Went out @ 7:15 and checked. Connection T4 was tucked up under the frame rail and left there by a previous mechanic. I'll have to fix that tonight. When I saw your post it reminded me to check T3. Sure enough I left that one off. Reattached it and BINGO! it's back to running.
Thanks again.
