my friend just converted his car to 134a. i also went out and bought the service plug converters at Advance Auto Parts for the low and high pressure side. The only problem is, the low pressure side plug doesnt hold at all, it seems like its just open. Just to test it out, i hooked my recharge kit to see if it held any type of pressure. i put it on the service port on the low end, pulled the trigger, then i took it off....the service port seems to be stuck open or something because when it came off, it let all of the pressure out through the port. the only way to stop it was to put hte cap back on really tight, obviously it was still leakin outm jus not like it was when i just took the refill thing off.

is it a defective service port converter?
