i can't seem to locate it, if you know where it is please reply.

Should be in the housing where your thermostat is.
The bottom radiator hose goes from the radiator to this
housing. There is a harness plugged into it.
I believe this is what you are looking for.
If it fails, the fan does not kick on when the engine
gets hot.

They are in the bottom of the radiator in the 1984. All the way up to
1991 too.
The 5th Generation Civics should have them in the housing where the
thermostat is.
Check a friend's 5th gen and then prepare to bow down.

Yep. Brass "screw-in" connector in the back of the thermostat housing. Follow the bottom radiator hose right to it.
