2nd Gen B20

2nd Gen B20
So I did some research and found that the 2002-2006 gen B20 found in the CR-V are in fact stronger engines.
2.4L
9.6:1 compressions
with about 160 lbs/ft torque
So I wanted to get a confirmation on this information.
And if so I wanted to get some more information on this motor.
Is it reliable and strong enough to deal with power?
Finally what is the engine code for that motor?
I can't find the specific motor code for that generation
If anybody can help with this it would be very much appreciated.

Sorry I read it off another forum and then researched it and didn't find the engine code for the specs.
Gayness. Lol Oh well.
So about well in that case what would you say is better and more durable going N/A
a b20b or a b20z?

Yeah, B20s have a nice amount of torque for a Civic and are reliable. If I was going to go through all the trouble to go k series, it definitely wouldn't be for the CR-V version.

Lol sorry for the confusion.
I have an eg and i am working twice as hard to pay for a swap. But because I am a few months away from getting the swap I need to figure out which of the do b20's is more durable.
I know the z has like 126 hp or something like that where the b has like 146. But I mean if there is no difference in the durability I'll try and get the b20b.

Re: 2nd Gen B20
Go b20z if you want to do the crv swap. Both are non vtec and as roycivic92 mention the z is faster and the intake manifold is better... Both are reliable as far as stock
To clear the confusion, a b20z is a usdm motor. Its comparable to a 99-01 CRV jdm b20b motor.
