2000 Honda Civic P0131 O2 Sensor Issue
Somewhat recently, I had the Check-Engine Light turn on, showing P0131 as the error code. I did some research, and found that it was the O2 sensor. I realized that the code was being shown just a few minutes after getting gas, so I re-attached the gas cap more securely, used an OBDII computer to reset the code, and continued on my merry way.
A few months later, the light came on again, and I checked the gas cap again, thinking that I'd been careless and had the same issue. After resetting the code again, it turned on a few days later, and since then, I've been noticing (not sure if this is really something I'm actually noticing, or just expecting) slightly less efficient gas mileage.
What should I do? I've read many forum posts and articles on this, with advice ranging from "just clean it and you'll be fine", to "you need an entire new exhaust assembly".
