2000 Honda Civic EX gearbox/shifting
Hey guys I recently just replaced my catalytic converter cause it was throwing of a check engine code p0420 but my friend helped me change it and he reset the ecu to take off the light. I know the ecu learns how you drive and stuff but is it normal for my car to shift slow? If that makes sense. It was fine before it was super smooth, like butter. But now it feels like sluggish and when I put it into neutral it just reacts slow. A lot different to before and it doesn't sit right in the middle of the gearbox. Sometimes in neutral is sits a little to the left (not in gear) until I move it to the middle. Just wanted to know if this was normal or somehow we fucked up on this lol

The ECU would have nothing to do with your shifter being out of balance. Did you mess around with your shifter assembly or anything else while you were under there doing the cat?

No I didn't that's why it's striking me so weird. It doesn't grind or pop just reacts slower. Hard to explain.

Alright well I had my gf's dad check it out while I was at work and apparently when my friend put the cat back the O2 sensor is in the way of the shift linkage which is making the move slower. Is that even possible.
