2000 Honda Civic Coupe DX (whatever the lowest model is) Automatic
First, WOW, this is a super forum.
Here is my story:
This occurred one other time, without the car stalling.
Will idle/drive rough, feel near stall, I floor is and car returns to normal behavior (one would assume a fuel pump, but....)
Current issue, start rough idle, drive to library (2 miles), leave running while in library for less than 1 minute. Return from library and the car is off. No check engine light illuminated (from my memory).
Try to start, cranking and cranking, nothing. I wait for a few minutes, try again and the car runs and drives without the rough idle/drive. I make it home and park for the next day.
Tonight, my WVO benz swallowed some air, so I decide to take the Civic. No start situation.
From what I have learned from this board:
-yes, the fuel pump does prime (click at glovebox, hum, then another click at glovebox and no more hum)
-yes, there is crank from the starter
-yes, plenty of power (until I killed the battery anyway)
-no, the check engine light does not come on at any time during this cycle.
-yes, there must be fuel, I can smell unburnt fuel.
I am leaning on the main relay. I will begin "finding" it tomorrow. Any help will be thanked.
Again, super forum!

CrazyHouse2011, thank you for the reply!
The CEL does not come on at all, I highly doubt the bulb is dead.

Tonight, OUT OF NO WHERE, the civic started after cranking for a bit.
Still no CEL (bulb must be blown out).
I charged the battery last night.
I let it run for a bit, then drove it on ramps to complete an oil change tonight/tomorrow.
This is now the oddest thing I have ever seen.
After getting it on ramps, I shut it off and turned it right back on, it started like nothing ever happened?!?!?!
If this matters, it was colder than usual when I did all this tonight.
Thank you

Very odd, car started and drove with zero issues today. I started it 4 or 5 times and even drove to fill the tank. (I was pretty empty).
Thank you for your advise.
