2000 Civic Won't Start - Please Help!
My daughter was driving our 2000 Civic and said the car sputtered and quit. It cranks but won't start. I have searched this forum and others for this issue but can't find a post with the exact symptoms that actually showed a resolution to the problem. I have worked on cars for 35 years but am new to Hondas so please be kind.
I don't know the engine designation but it is a single over head cam, 16 valve engine.
My troubleshooting is as follows:
Battery is new and engine cranks fine.
Fuel: I don't have a fuel pressure tester but when cracking the fuel line open down stream of the fuel filter with ignition on, fuel sprays out.
I have also poured raw fuel in the intake manifold, enough to wet the plugs but no joy.
Timing belt: the timing belt is new and all timing marks aligned.
Compression: 120-130 pounds of compression on every cylinder.
Ignition: I have a white hot spark at every plug every time the needle jumps on my compression tester during the compression check, so I assume the ignition timing is atleast somewhat accurate.
The CEL light never came on. There are no diagnostic codes set.
I'm really scratching my head on this one. By all accounts, the engine should be running. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Update:
I have 65 PSI on the fuel rail.
I have 12.0 volts at each fuel injector yellow/black stripe wire.
I replaced the main relay.
All no joy.
Thanks again!!

UPDATE:
I replaced the distributor. It fixed the problem!!
The old distributor was firing but was out of time, apparently because the ignition module in the distributor was failing. I was told that this is a common problem in this year Civic.
Thanks again for reading my post!!
