Default 2000 civic B swap exhaust

Okay, so I am doing my first engine swap on my 2000 civic. I have a jdm b18b with a b16 sir transmission. What kind of exhaust set up can I run? Looking for everything headers back!

any input would be much appreciated

After header>b series cat/ test pipe> > whatever size piping > muffler/straightpipe

Or go oem and find a si used exhaust

You didnt specify 2dr or 4dr. But you need to get the ex model exhausr system.

No, you don't need a test pipe and cat. If you have an ex model than all you would need is a b-series header and b-series cat. The rest will bolt up.

You don't even really need a B series cat. The flanges are offset between the D and B series exhaust systems, but the EX exhaust will mate right up with a B series swap and header - you'll just need to get an exhaust shop to cut and weld the flange so it lines up. $30 for a cut and weld beats the **** out of $100+ for a proper cat.

what if the car didn't come with a cat and he needs it? What if he needs to pass emissions, or a visual inspection.

Then he could use a B series cat, yes, but since OP didn't follow the rules, and didn't give us full car details, we can only guess. I was just giving another option.
