holding the pedal all the way down is "clear flood mode". check your injectors for leaks. lemme guess, happens on cold starts, but hot starts ok?

Had the same problem. Replaced the dizzy half a year ago, but replaced the dizzy again and my starting issue was fixed.

Default Cooling fan not working

the other day i noticed the temp was getting up and was still climbing so i shut it off and noticed the cooling fans were not coming on , so i ran wires from the fan to the battery and it worked.. so i replaced both coolant temp sensors and thermostate and still nothing ..

How do you think engine oil got into the reservoir and on the radiator cap?

Loss of power and oil in the reservoir = run tests for blown head gasket

Nothing you have said so far rules out this obvious potential diagnosis.

Do you want to know what is wrong with your engine? If so, stop hoping and start doing some tests that will confirm or refute the blown head gasket diagnosis.

Three related threads merged.

Did you bleed the cooling system?

Overheating is another sign of a blown head gasket.

It is. Constant overheating, loss of power, trouble starting, oil in the radiator overflow tank, and adjusting your timing to the most advanced possible position and driving around. That's 5 for 5 for a blown head gasket.

Update.. I flushed the coolant system after I put the sensors and thermostat in and now the temp gauge stays below the half mark, but the fan still does not kick on..i figured the oil could be in there by a previous problem and timing was off but I didn't know.. I just never had a blown head gasket on a honda so I didn't know what the symptoms were, my mechanic said since its not over heating anymore
