Honda Cx Wiring Question
I had a 95 honda civic given to me that had a small elec. fire burned the fuse box the dash and pass side air bag also the battery. I have a friend who owns a junkyard he was able to pick me up a 92 civic dx. (both cars are hatchbacks) My question is this I have a complete wiring harness from the 92 due to the fire alot of the harness in the 95 was destroyed can i basically hack out the section that was damaged and solder back in the harness from my 92 parts car.

Re: Honda Cx Wiring Question
The '92 harness won't have the wiring for the passenger side air bag, because it didn't have one. But everything else will work.

Re: Honda Cx Wiring Question
Not exactly the question i was asking let me rephrase basically i need to repair the fuse box (which i have a newish one.) The wiring from under the fuse box that runs through the firewall can i cut out 1.5 feet of it and splice in the same area of harness from my parts car? Basically color codedly speaking are they the same? If i remember correctly the srs systems although being different between the two cars still use a separate harness all together?
