1998 Honda Civic LX D16Y8 radiator issues
Okay so my 1998 Civic has been overheating for the last couple weeks. It overheats when I idle, goes down when I start driving and then sometimes overheats even when I'm driving. A few days ago the overheating issue skyrocketed and I ended up blowing a hose. Replaced it, filled it up again. Thought I bled the system properly, not sure if maybe there is still air in the system because it's STILL overheating. Doesn't overheat now when I turn the heat on. I know it's not the fan, because the rad fan turned on when I bled the system the other day while replacing the hose. It didn't overheat at all the day I replaced the hose or that night when I drove it for work. But starting overheating again yesterday when I was driving and is persisting still. Not sure what's going on or why it's still overheating. Help!

Check for a small crack in the radiator housing. I had a tiny crack on the radiator plastic on my EM1 and it was steaming and leaking coolant like crazy. And epoxy won't work. If you have a radiator crack, replace it. The new unit is only about $70 and it's easy to do yourself.
