1998 Honda Civic Hx 5 speed converting problems
Liek the title says im having porblems converting my civic from auto to manual. After i got the clutch and transmission bolted to the motor i went to drop it in to find out the auto t bracket wont work with the 5 speed. Now i know i have to customize the upper tranny mount. But does anyone know what the deal is with my t-bracket?
Thanks

hasport makes a coversion mount for that application, i had the same problem with my ej1 check ebay theres a bunch of companies that make the mount, it drops the trans down and forward so everything sits flush,

that should only be for an eg ek use the same mounting spots just get a manuel trans t-bracket + mount. i don't know if the hx uses a differant upper mount but on my cx i just used all the manuel brackets and mounts no aftermaket parts required.

The HX is weird, you can't just use an OEM upper bracket due to the CVT tranny using a different mount placement. Rear T-bracket though is just a regular '96 - '00 Civic 5 speed T-bracket, I'm pretty sure I have an extra one laying around here i'd sell, PM me if you're interested.

No one makes one for the HX, you have to fab up you own. Here's an HX specific auto to manual swap guide btw: http://www.civic-hx.6thgearadvertising.com/
