Need help 00 ex with itr bogs at low rpms after coming down from vtec
heres the details.
I have a 2000 civic ex with a 2000 jdm type r tuned on p28 chrome. just finished putting the engine in and everything sounds perfect the only problem is after i cross over into vtec and come back down the car bogs up to 2500 rpms anything above that is perfect. when i bought the motor it was in a 98 hatch and everything was good no problems at all. before i put the motor in i did a tune up. changed the plugs wires, rotor, cap, oil, pcv valve. car is running on original harness with obd2b to obd1 jumper. no codes. i know the knock, o2, vtec oil pressure and i believe the regular oil pressure sensor is also dissabled.
so far i tried cleaning the throtle body, iacv, and replaced the ignition coil. don't know what else to try. car still has the stock fuel pump. as long as i don't cross over into vtec the car runs perfect.
any ideas would help. thanks

Just a complete guess but is it possible you are getting stuck in vtec.....I have seen many solenoids "stick". Not really sure though like I said but if you have access to another vtec solenoid just try it.

i will try that. but if it were stuck would vtec still pop when i cross over. cuz it does. and just to put it out there. I don't think i jumped timing but i will check that too.
