if you're talking about prothane motor mount INSERTS then they're a decent, inexpensive alternative to buying new mounts. I have a set and they've been in for about a year and they're doing well... Takes away some of the wheel hop off the line.

Remove the bolt to the mount and remove the engine bracket(one at a time of course)that bolts to the mount and pop them in place... Reinstall mount assembly. The rear is a big pain in the *** though.

They'll annoy you with the vibration.
How modded/what engine do you have?

If your stock then your wasting your time and sacrificing comfort

And if youre really modded or b then you need good mounts anyway

yuppers, your car will shake like a bitch, only worth doing if your B engine is heavily modded.

Lol yes vibrates like a bitch... Your old lady may like it tho lol. I'm not heavily modded, but they did knock off a hair over .1 seconds off of my time from reducing all of that wheel hop(shitty track). Not very comfortable for daily drivin, but I just don't give a **** but like these fellaz said, not worth it unless you're well modded, and also correct that they're no comparison to actual mounts. I just got them to reduce wheel hop and as a temporary fix until I can decide if I'm going to keep the B16a2 or swap a K20 in it.

I kinda like feeling the car shake like that. I used to have a Mitsu 3000GT VR4 and had SOLID STEEL motor mounts and to feel those 300 all wheel horsies running was AWESOME.

i have prothane inserts, just recently bought them though so i can't say anything on how good they wear over time. i think they're a good alternative if you can't afford nice mounts

or do the ghetto/redneck approach of filling your old ones with polyurethane or silicone adhesive. It depends how stiff you want them...

LMFAO!!! my friend did that **** to his prelude, he used poly haha, that thing was completely unbearable to drive!! you could hear his **** rattling before you even saw the car coming. he may as well have had solid steel mounts too lmao

It's been done time and time again. It serves its purpose... I rode in a car with solid mounts, and it wasn't too bad. It was just a GSR swap though. You could feel it for sure, but it wasn't enough to be completely unbearable.

If you have the extra pennies get innovative mounts when you upgrade. Theyre the least vibrant of the solid aftermarket mounts ive tried. Ie hasport, avid, egay

speaking of egay,

bought a 92-95 auto conversion mount and the insert COMPLETELY slid out from the mount.

its still in there, about 1/2 in. slid out. but the mount itself is quality material

Maybe you can try just 1 or 2 key mounts with inserts? Maybe there's a sweet spot between performance and comfort? I've thought about inserts myself, but I have a Solid steel rear MM and I LOVE it.
