1996 Civic DX: No communication with computer after minor collision.
Perhaps someone will have some solution for this problem:
After a very low impact collision that somehow made my airbags deploy, my Civic will not start. My mechanic friend hooked up his computer to the Civic and got no communication. Pardon my lack of vocabulary, but he did a reset by pulling a fuse for a while, but that did not remedy anything either.
If any of you have any information on how to repair this problem or could link me to any threads on this forum that I did not find while searching, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you!

The OBD2 diagnostic port has a 12v power source that needs to work for the scan tool to make the connection. There is a 7.5 amp fuse in the underhood fuse box for interior lights, looks like this also powers the diagnostic port. Is this fuse blown? Do the interior lights work?
