1994 Civic EX clutch not disengaging?
ive had the car for going on 5 years now and have never replaced the clutch. ive bled it before long trips but have never had a problem with it or shifting in general. Now it feels like the third and fourth gear synchros are completely gone it grinds going in no matter what unless I let the crank slow all the down to idle in between shifts. I feel no strange lack or extra pressure when pressing the pedal down and engaging but it feels like it wont disengage all the way, I still have drive to the wheel but the rpms and the rate of acceleration don't match up, it sound like a beginner driver is riding the clutch. I had kinda thought replacing the clutch would need to happen soon but im not sure why the clutch doesn't want to disengage..
any ideas?

Have you had someone press the clutch pedal in and out while you watch the slave cylinder to confirm it's moving back and forth properly?

What weight motor oil? Motor oil is only to be used in place of Honda MTF in a pinch and should be replaced with MTF as soon as possible. Don't get me wrong, I've ran 5-30 in a honda manual before with no issues but it's not the correct fluid..

I guess at this point.im more asking "should a clutch kit including preasure plate, clutch, throw out bearing, and replacement bolts be enough to take care of it or.is there more to it besides the slave cylinder that i need to account for?"

10-30 is the wrong weight of you're going to use motor oil. It should be 5-30. Can't say for sure if that's your issue but I would at least start with the correct fluid.

Ok so im not very well versed in the clutch system but mechanically Speaking i fail to see how the wrong Weight and oil would have an affect on anything but how well the gears operate themselves. So since thats kinda a side issur that will be taken care of with the rest of the clutch is there anything related to my actual problem at hand that hasnt been mentioned before i start the job? Im not trying to be a bitch or nothing but everyone seems to be dancing around my issue.. if you dont know dont comment?

Also as of the latest formula of Honda MTF, 10w30 is actually better as reported by some experienced technicians and rebuilders.
Torco MTF is probably the best fluid available.
5w30 is NOT recommended for older Honda manual transmissions. Wanted to clear up that misinformation.
Your two (three) best options currently is conventional 10w30 or Torco MTF or RTF fluid.
