93 del sol - Rear and Passenger window stuck down
Hey guys, there was a mediocre day recently and I got the del sol out and took a ride, got back and went to put the windows up and no response from either the rear or passenger side windows that were already down before I took it out. Unlike when the drivers window went up there was no change in sound or headlight brightness like there was any power load. No click or anything. I tried swapping both fuses with the drivers working fuse to no success. While it would be odd, I suppose both motors could have gone out at the same time but I figured I'd check if there was something else obvious I should check out before I go the replacement route.

Make sure the window lock switch is not pressed. There is a button on the driver's door to keep kids from playing with the windows, it disables all the windows except the driver's.
The motors seldom give trouble. The most common power window problem is broken wires between the driver's door and the rest of the car. This can affect any or all of the windows. Turn the key on and hold the window button in the "up" position while you open the door and wiggle the wires.
To test the motor (and get the window closed) take the door panel off unplug the motor and jump a battery or jump starter pack to the window motor. Reverse the leads to make the window go the other direction.

Also, try holding the switch in the up position while simultaneously slamming the door and sitting in the car. If it's a motor problem, this can jostle it just enough to get it going; just don't let off the switch until it's completely up. I've done this on several types of cars over the years.
