*93 Civic CX Climate Control Issues... HELP!!
Just looking for some technical help on a car I just picked up and I'm out of ideas on the the heck is going on.
Short Story...Longer version:
Picked up a 1993 CX and it had recently got broken into and stupid thieves smashed the climate control unit the dash bezel and also cut the radio harness to obviously get the radio. This all happened before i got the car. Also before I got the car and after it got broken into the engine was replaced with a 00 ex due to blown head gasket on the ole 1.5L. I was told the Climate Control unit worked before the swap and also worked when the climate control unit was all smashed up. Now that the swap is done the Climate control doesn't work. The back lights don't lite up the blower motor doesn't turn on. I tested another Climate Control unit that I KNOW works and it wouldn't work in my car either. I have checked all the fuses and the relay and all seems OK. My question..... is there anything anyone can think of as to why the Climate control is not working?? Sounds like a wiring issue to me? Or I'm missing something that could be bad?? I figured if the blower motor was bad the lights on the Climate control would at least lite up.
Short Story...Short Version:
-93 cx w/00ex motor w/ smashed climate control unit now it has a known working unit installed
-Climate control worked before swap
-Nothing on Climate Control works...no lights, no blower running....
-Checked all fuses
-Checked relay
Any help would be great, I need some heat!!!!

I'd start by checking wiring. I have my dash apart and it looks like under center consol thing with the ashtray there is two wiring plugs/clips that plug in to the climate control. Are those hooked up? And on the far right side of the dash there is a gray and brown plug that plug in to the wiring for the cilimate control parts did you check those? I'd also check wiring in the engine bay. Is your blower motor out? Are the blub's in the climate controls burnt out?

Although, I will check that far right plug. (Where exactly is this plug???)
And I haven't went as deep as inspecting the blower motor yet.... I find it hard to believe that all bulbs would be burnt out in the old and newer climate control...but anything is possible.

Yeah just some starters. The plug is on the far right of the dash once you remove the glove box you will see it on the right next to the ecu it is gray and brown. You might even be able to get to it and see it with the glove box in it's like right by the kick panel but on the dash. Anything can happen with blubs. Have you checked to see if there is power going to the climate control wires? Here is a picture of the plugs to help you out. And the last picture with the red out line tracing the wire is from mcvtec to give him his copy rights and such he helped me out with that one.
