"Loopy Idle"
#2
I think they are talking about the instance where the car revs up and down without any input from the driver. One soler had this happen with his vehicle and it was tracked down to a vacuum valve (can't remember the exact name of the part) being dirty...we think.

Re: (BiffStroganoffsky)
yea its usually the IACV that gets dirty and will cause this. Also there are vaccuum leaks. Some people also use that term with aggressive cam shaft and how they idle...

if you mean "lopey" idle then they are referring to how smooth the idle is, most of the tire you hear this in referrance to camshafts, manufacturers will say "slight lope", "close to stock", "mild lope" etc.....

Usually shifts from 1500 to 1200 every 1-2 seconds or so
so this is a dirty IACV??
