Type-R Coupe conversion ?
My friend recently rear ended a truck in his '06 civic coupe and asked me to buy it. The front bumper is mis-aligned and the lights are both smashed. For the price he's asking I'm very tempted and came up with the idea for a type-r (FD2) conversion.
I asked the Honda dealership and they suggested I come here to Honda-tech to see if anyone has done the conversion or if its even possible to fit the rear Type-R sedan bumper/tail lights and front clip onto a coupe. From what I gathered from the conversation the chassis is the same.
Coles notes:
Friend wants me to buy his crashed '06 USDM civic coupe, I am wondering if the front clip and rear bumper/tail lights from the FD2 type-r sedan will fit.

I think it could with modifications. Unfortunately I think it looks retarded when all these coupe owners keep trying to put Type R and Mugen stuff made for a sedan on their coupe. I wouldn't, but that's just me. Expect to do some fabrications to the parts.

It's definitely not bolt on if that's what you're asking. A lot of modifications are going to be needed, but with enough money anything is possible.
Good luck on what you do and I hope to see a coupe with a JDM front some day lol
