Regular or Genuine Brake Fluid?
Hi guys,
I am about to replace clutch and brake oil on a friends 1.4 8th generation Honda Civic, year 2006, FK1 model. The procedure is very straight forward but I have some doubts about the what oil I should use.
Usually I use regular DOT 4 brake fluid, but in the repair manual, they say to use Genuine Honda Brake Fluid, otherwise it can lead to premature fail of the parts. I guess it's normal for them to say this, but the question is: is itworth to buy Honda Brake Fluid or regular DOT 4 brake fluid of a good brand such as Ferodo is just the same?
Best regards

Re: Regular or Genuine Brake Fluid?
Buy DOT3/4 fluid at a parts store and use it. This is one of the fluids that you should deviate from Honda Genuine for.
