Radiator/ Condenser Fans

Radiator/ Condenser Fans
I recently purchased a 2013 Honda Civic. However, I have one question about the AC. With my parents Honda Accord and Element, whenever you turn the key to IG2 (just before you start the engine) with the the AC on, you can hear the condenser fan before the engine is even started. On my Civic, this appears to not be the case.
The fan does come on and cycle normally with the clutch once the engine is started. Perhaps its just me, but is this normal? Thank you so much for your help!

Re: Radiator/ Condenser Fans
I contacted the dealership in which I purchased the vehicle. Here's the explanation from the head mechanic:
"That was a good question. I don't know why it has changed but this is normal
for your vehicle. I checked a new Civic on the lot and found it to be the
same as your vehicle. I assume it was changed to lessen the draw on the
battery but don't know for sure if that is why or not but it is normal."

Re: Radiator/ Condenser Fans
Understood. I was just confused as it seems Honda has changed things. As with my parent's cars, the condenser and radiator fans would come on before the engine was even started with the AC on. It seems now that with my Civic, let alone other 2013's, not to be the case anymore.
