I'm looking into it now cause I need it done before Global Time Attack next May at Road Atlanta.

Mishimoto has an interesting option that has 3 connectors so you could use one for oil temp, oil pressure and use the other for the oil cooler.

That sounds sweet...

I want it because I'm O.C.D. for info and feel the more you know the better off you are.

Got a link to a site selling this unit?

yes 3 wouldn't be enough... it depends on your setup and what you are looking for.

You do need a feed and a return for the oil cooler. My friend mentioned something of being able to slip the last one for the oil temp and oil pressure. I don't know what he means by it but once he lets me know I'll update you guys.

The Mishimoto kit is very overpriced. You can get an entire kit lines and fittings included on eBay for less than $100.

You have the ability to over cool the oil with an external cooler. You should get a thermostatic valve controlled oil cooler, or you may struggle to reach operating temperature at all.

I would also force pressurized mineral spirits through the heat exchanger to clean any metal or debris out. Check your lines very carefully and make sure the sandwich adapter is pointing parallel to the ground or better, needing to go against gravity to unscrew (does that make sense?), that way there's less chance of it unscrewing.

Some kits also include an oil filter relocator, that's what I would do. Leave the sandwich plate on for life and relocate the filter somewhere nice.
