Neg camber related to uneven brake pad wear
Started to hear some squeaking in my brakes after 8 months. took off my wheels and caliper and got to the brake pads. the outside pad is normal, however the inside pad is worn to the clip. so i cut half the clip off so its not touching the disc anymore but im like another month or 2 away from needing new pads (maybe hawk).
What puzzled me was that the inside pad was worn unevenly. the side of the pad that toward the top is more worn than the bottom side. i first thought this would be part of a camber issue but realized the whole brake assembly cambers in with the wheel?! so i have no idea. could this be an alignment problem? i got an alignment no longer than 2 months ago. this happen to anyone before?

Camber should have no relation what so ever to the wearing of brake pads. Perhaps there was an issue with the manufacture of the pads or something else, but camber shouldn't be a problem.

Re: Neg camber related to uneven brake pad wear (Tadehi)
thats what i was thinking. what do you suggest i do? i doubt warantee will cover it since all my suspension parts. i should just get new pads huh. ill wait to get an alignment until after i get rims and coils.

I don't think an alignment issue is your problem either, you may have just gotten a bad set of pads. Suspension changes will affect your braking, so it might just be that with your new setup you are putting a greater strain on your pads. Hence them needing to be replaced sooner. As far as pads go everyone seems to say that Hawk Performance Plus pads are really good, in fact I have yet to hear a complaint. Definitely wait till after you get rims and springs before doing an alignment. My car isn't lowered, but when I read the forums everyone says that they go for an alignment right after they do the drop. So if you can wait, hold off on the alignment otherwise you will be wasting X amount of dollars for one.

would that wear just the top part of the pad?

uneven brake wear is due to caliper seizing, slide pin/bolt (whatever you call it) seized.
So i guess in your situation the top part of the pad would wear out if the top pin/bolt is seized. i dont know, someone correct me if im wrong.
