Default Need HELP with 2008 civic SRS light

hello to all,
I have a 2008 civic, replaced all deployed airbags and sensors, also replaced deployed seat belt and buckle along with a new srs unit but the airbag light will still not go out. I tried resetting it with the 2 pin yellow connector under the dash near the fuse box..... it blinks twice after following all the procedures but the light still stays on. I cant pass CHP inspection untill i get this done.

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

the easiest way to find out what's wrong with it is to take it to the dealer to have them check the code. did you get the correct airbag control module? they changed in the middle of 08. you can double check the part numbers between the old and new ones to make sure you got the right one.

when the horn doesn't work and the srs light is on it means the clockspring is bad. another possibility.

I bought the control module from the dealer and they are identically the same.
I checked the codes with a scanner and i get a
24-10 code; "Open or increased resistance in left buckle tensioner"
which is weird cause ive chenged them all.

The horn works fine. No problem with the horn.
the dealer charges an arm and a leg to reset.
Im assuming they are gonna reset with the MEC connector which i did my self.

what kind of scanner did you use? i thought only dealers had the equipment to check the code. maybe you forgot to plug the buckle in? i have no idea. i have a salvage myself. my opds sensors are bad in the passenger seat so i have the srs light too. i'm in the process of trying to find a new seat for that.

I used an ETHOS scanner. when i plug the buckle in, im not able to get the airbag light to blink when i use the yellow connector to try and reset. I may have a bad passenger side opds sensor but whats funny is the scanner gives me that buckle tensioner resistance thing. I dont know. its driving me crazy. chp wont pass it until i get it fixed

you can tell that the opds sensors are bad in the passenger seat when the 'passenger airbag off' light doesn't turn on when you put something light on the seat. when it's working properly the light turns on when there's something under 65 pounds on the seat. did you buy the buckle new too? if not, are you sure the one you bought is good? also, there are 2 plugs on it, i think 1 was yellow and 1 white. maybe one of them isn't in all the way? when i try to reset my light it does actually reset, but it comes back every time the ignition is turned off.

Thanks for the tip on the opds sensor. its exactly what happens with the passenger airbag off light. it doesnt turn on when there is someone in the seat.
The 2 plugs for the buckle are plugged in good, checked it several times. but you're right, the buckle might be a bad one. Im gonna try changing it tomorrow specially when i get a buckle resistance code. Do you know if the opds sensor would go bad if the seat airbag was deployed but not the dash airbag? do i have to change the opds unit, cause i took the seat apart for the bag and didnt see a sensor anywhere in the seat except the unit on the side of the seat back

anything is possible; my passenger seat airbag didn't even go off and the sensors are still bad. i'm thinking they might've gone bad before the accident and never got replaced but who knows.

as for the sensors, there are 3 inside the upper cushion and more in the seat rails; if it's a 4 door there are 4 sensors in the rails and if it's a 2 door there are 2. the unit on the side of the seat back is the opds control unit, that's what the sensors plug into.

Thanks for the help Vladd. I'll check them tomorrow and will post any updates
