Lowering Springs Poll
i just pick up a new 08 civic si and my first mod is lowering the car. which of these lowering springs do you think is the best and why? also these lowering springs are going on stock shocks. if anyone have these springs on their car please post up a picture of the drop, it would help alot. thanks

Eibach Sportlines give the best overall drop but i want lower so i am going with the Neuspeed Race springs this Week !
Ive had the springs on now for 15k with no issues.

Yes around 15k on them while being lowered with no issues i am still on the OEM Michelin all season tires 2. 37k on them lol and they just started showing camber wear i rotate them them every 3k without a camber kit you will need 2 do this.

I'm on sportlines with stock shocks and no camber kit too. My tire are showing no camber wear but i rotate the tire pretty regularly too. I like the ride. Responsive and controlled. Definitely less body roll.
sportlines 1.4 inch drop all around. pro-kit 1.2 rear 1 inch front.

I just put some Skunk2 springs on mine, couldn't ask for more. I love the look, and ride quality isn't bad. overall very pleased.

In the end, none of those are good. HFP is about the only way to go right now. All you're doing is wearing out the shocks prematurely and ruining your car's naturally good handling.

It's probably more in your head than anything. Lowering the car an excessive amount (2 inches?) does things to your handling that I can't even begin to explain or understand lol. I had a few lengthy talks with some suspension gurus when I wanted to drop my car and they all basically said 'stick with HFP'.

Yeah, I don't think a mild drop like the pro kit, comptech, etc will really negatively affect your handling. Once you get into the lower drops, though, you're lessening the travel your suspension has and ruining the handling. At least, that's how I understood it to be.

I understand your theory plus i plan on going Nuespeed Race springs in a few weeks i guess i am in trouble we will see.
