How did his speedo etc work?? If that were the case then Hondata would have Kpro out already since that was one of the major hangups they had.

Swift Racing is building the car and planned to use the Haltech E8v2 for tuning. Swift is known for Lexus IS300 and getting introduced to the Honda world. He currently tunes IS300 with the Haltech ECU and the CAN system so he know how to by-pass certain functions on to get results. Haltech has sent the latest application that will almost match the function of the Honda's and currently in testing a new Haltech for release in March that my car will have the prototype.
The Haltech will control timing, ignition and Fuel management while the stock ECU runs the stock gauges, radio and such. CAN = Centalize Area Network is the new standard over the typical OBD2 from the day.
Assembly of the block will start today so I hope to have some PICS online later this evening. Waiting on Headwork and CAMS at the moment and trying to fix the timing retention issue. Hopefully the car will be running by end of FEB.
Wonder if that person was ME?? I have a FA5 that had the Greddy kit and frequently went to Capital Raceway last summer.

Re: (borat)
The Haltech is a complete stand alone ECU system that will take complete functions of timing, V-Tec, ignition and fuel. The stock ECU will control the simpler functions of the car. I don't know the complete technical lingo for the Haltech and how it really works. Moe from Swift Racing has complete confidence since he's been working with the Lexus IS300 for years and those cars have DBW for several years.
Haltech has release a newer version of the software (Beta) that my car will have the prototype that designed for the 06/07 SI and slated for a new release of the Haltech Platium in March that my car will have teh prototype.
Only time will tell.

Re: (07CivicMD)
Cool. I was referring mostly to the cam-phasing aspect of i-VTEC. K-Pro lets you mess with the phasing, which is neat, but makes it a whole lot more complicated to tune (24 fuel/spark tables to tune instead of the usual 4).

Re: (borat)
I know the Haltech has many options to control V-Tec along with other functions but don't know enough of the current maps and new software application that designed for the SI's.
