Default Increase Low End Torque, Horsepower

I love the si, but as we all know there is really no low end torque/horsepower. What are the most efficient ways to increase this? Engine work, turbo, supercharger?

forced induction
OR
raise compression
OR
raise displacement
OR
higher final drive ratio




if you want low end torque, you probably should look somewhere other than Honda.

u should do some research on an adjustable cam gear. there is torque in the powerband, u just have to find it. and by either advancing or retarding the timing using the cam gear, that torque can be found.

tuning isnt good enough for cams yet. well its doable, but you wont get the most potential from a cam until kpro

the cam gears on our cars adjust themselves for maximum valve overlap so adjusting the cam gear would do you no good. its all for emissions.

Can you explain how the difference in final drive is an option for more low end. This is the second time I have heard this and I don't know the reason for this.

Torque is pretty flat on the K20 from 2500-8200rpm. See dyno:

The K20 already runs incredibly good torque for a 4 cylinder, N/A engine, the only way your going to get a mass increase in torque is with forced induction or Nitrous.

That being said the reflash is supposed to increase the overall torque curve very well.

it does, well from what ive seen an from what my friends tell me. 2 people i know have the reflash and i havent gotten the chance to ride/drive them, but everybody that has said you can feel a big difference in tq

who buys a honda for torque? Rev that bitch all the way to 8000 rpm like its supposed to. K20 like most other honda engines makes **** torque, but good horsepower for a n/a 2.0L. Get a supercharger if you REALLY must have some extra low end.
