gas filler flap is missing
i was filling the gas today and noticed something strange. the gas cap did not seem so tight and esp since i always tighten until i hear 3 clicks or so. when i was inserting the gas nozzle in, i noticed the flap was missing. after filling gas, i looked closer to see if the flap was actually there or not, i noticed something there that somewhat resembles white paint brushed on with a brush (or the such) that's about 5-6mm width right outside of the opening for the gas nozzle. i went over to the honda dealer and spoke to the service advisor, but was told there shouldn't be any problem and no danger driving the vehicle.
has anyone experience the gas filler flap missing? i know it's prolly not a common thing, but wondering if it's possible, and if there's any dangers.

There is no "flap". All there is, is a hole to fill in the gas and then a gas gap.
No idea what "brush" you're talking about.

The "flap" was used on cars to keep people from putting leaded fuel in thier tanks. There hasnt been leaded available fuel for what...10-15 years now?
