Fuse Box

Fuse Box
Hi, my name is Amanda, I own a 06 Honda Civic Ex, and I am an idiot who left her owners manual in Colorado when she moved to NJ for school!
Long story short, I got a new battery and now my Radio/Nav system doesn't work because I need my code and my code is in Colorado. Now I have someone who MIGHT be able to get my serial number and code for me but it is not guaranteed.
I have done all the tricks of pushing 1&6, looking for the sticker, and ect to get the serial number in order to get my code. The only thing I haven't done is have the radio/nav system removed from the dashboard to get the serial number, which is a last case senerio. What I would like to do first is reset the radio/nav sys by removing the Hazard and Backup fuse. Well, my problem is I can't find the fuse box. Can anyone please tell me where it is? I know it is on the passenger side but that's as far as I get.
I appreciate any responses and thanks for putting up with me being a blonde!
Have a wonderful day!
OH! I should mention, the only thing that comes up on the screen is a keyboard to touch in a 4 digit code. This may be the code for the Nav part of the sys.
Seriously, anyone with any suggestions, I would sooooooooo appreciate it! Thanks again!

the serial # sticker should be on the left side outter glove box or inside the glove box
i dont have a car in the shop to check this but from the Enter Code screen can you go into setup and You can view the serial number by entering the diagnostic mode. Select Unit Check from the main menu, then the Navi ECU diagnostic screen. This gives you the serial number without removing the navigation unit...u have to enter diagnostic mode to do this and it requires u to jump a connector with a wire but im not sure at the moment where that connector is

Thanks, but the sticker isn't there, inside or out. Yep, once I get the serial number, I will input the info online to get the code. ::crossing my fingers:: I hope I get the info soon!
Under the hood? I was told on the passenger side in the car. I will give it a shot, where under the hood is it?
Thanks to the both of you very much!!

Re: (achid)
i dont think removing a fuse is going to do anything bcuz u will still have to enter the code once u put the fuse back in...if u can find someone to look in ur manual then the code is in the front page of that book..good luck

I'm not sure where the fuse box is for the r18a1's but isn't nearby the battery?
The radio code is either pasted on a card to the inside of your glove box or in the bundle of manuals from the dealer. I suggest you call home and ask for the code. The code is printed on a card that's in the bundle. A funny side note, the code is actually printed on the backside of the radio unit itself although I wouldn't suggest pulling it out. Good luck.

Yea I just wanted a backup plan in case the person at home could not find it. The reason I am looking for the fuse box is because I called a Honda dealership and they believe the radio is locked right now because of trying to reset it wrong. He suggested to restart the radio by taking out those fuses. I can't do it because I can't find the fuse box. I know I can go to a dealership and have the radio/nav sys removed from the dash but I am trying to avoid that at the moment. Thank you to everyone for your help!

I know I will still need the code, but if the radio is locked taking out the fuses will unlock it in order for me to get the serial number.....well atleast that is the idea, who knows if it will work.

Locked? How many times did you try to enter a code? Also, how is it you're not on trial membership right now, didn't you just sign up today?

Re: (K5^)
OK, well i got A code, that allowed me to get to my radio/navi screen BUT the radio doesn't work (I don't even hear that annoying noise), the cd player is playing but no sound is coming out, AND my XM and Navi voice sound distorted, like there is something wrong with the speakers but how could the be fine BEFORE I put in the battery and now not working. This is a pain in the pumpkin! Any ideas would be great! Thanks everyone for their help so far!

Re: (achid)
Where in NJ did you move to? I'd be willing to take a look at it.
My sister also has an '06 Civic EX and her stereo took a crap on her, with similar symptoms that you mentioned. Honda replaced it under warranty. Maybe your stereo died coincidentally at the same time as getting a new battery.

Brick is a little far from me. What is your availability this week?

Re: Fuse Box (achid)
All you have to do is call your dealership and tell them you need your radio code and give them your VIN number.
Tell them your battery died. Works every single time.
