Re: Energy Suspension Control Arm Bushings
Well to start im replacing the front struts with Koni yellows and having the shop go over all the bushings and re-clock them. I need to have them see why me RR toe is out of whack as well.

Yeah they're inserts. I had them on my 2001 civic and it rode like a dream. I would do it myself but I tried breaking down my stock struts yesterday and the nut is frozen on the shaft, so I said screw this and called up my local shop to do it this week. I don't have the energy to do it in the cold.

I'll have the shop figure out the toe issue when the struts are replaced. I honestly thing the other shop's machine was fudged up because thats quite a significant increase in what it used to be

I was going to go with the a custom spring and Koni Yellows from him but I got a great offer on some Gospeed Mono Max so I pulled the trigger on them.
A few hardcore track guys are using them on 8th civic and have a lot off good feedback from them!
If I don't enjoy them I'll just order a new kit from Chris and sell the Gospeeds.

If I ever do coilovers I might go with ground controls. I had s2 before because I got a great deal on them new and just couldn't stand them. On a daily I really see no point for full blown coilovers (at least where there are crappy roads like chicago).

The key is the right type of coilover. I live in the west burbs and drive into the city all the time with my TSX. It has Tein SA coilovers. They're STREET coils from a reputable company. So they ride equivalent to or better than stock. I've been to NYC and Canada (Ontario) with these coilovers. I have about 30k miles on them. The car still rode beautifully this morning with the crazy low temps.
I didn't buy Koni Yellows because the damper profile is more agressive than I was looking for in a DD that will likely not see the track. Koni yellows are more of a street and track mix.
The car does have Michelin Pilot SS's on the summer wheels. So if I ever do track it, the SA's will be soft, but still better than stock.
People always say "the car rides good and I've had no problems" with a plethora of shitty setups that most people agree ride like **** and have TONS of problems. But I'm picky as well as educated lol. So when I say that a suspension rides nicely...it actually does.
