Do 'newer" Civics have cableless throttles..
Guys, as I understand it, most cars today no longer use a cable to controll the throttle. Some sort of electro servo motor that operates by wire. Do todays Civics operate like that and what was the last year they used a standard cable..........thanks...

Wow, was unaware that technology had been in place on Hondas for almost ten years now. Several guys at work have said they have lots of problems with their cars and trucks [not all Hondas} with that system. Any speculation as to problems with that as those cars approach 15 to 20 years old.

There are very few issues with drive by wire systems. CIVICs have had the technology since 06. But its been around on Hondas for more time than that. 03 would be a good guess for when they started using it.
