Disable seatbelt chime/notification 2014 Civic SI
Looked around but could not find anything. When I let the car warm up the notification bugs me in the bottom of my heads up display to put the belt on. How can I disable the sound/notification?
Best,
Mike

Either way, by Federal Law, you as the owner or auto shop can not tamper with the SRS. If I were you, I'd look into this: Chimex - CravenSpeed Online

Your problem is that you're letting the car warm up. Plug your seatbelt in, start the car, and drive.

We certainly do live in a "nanny" state. No one knows how to turn off a seat belt chime, but the so many want to live your life for you.
Is there someone out there with technical wisdom rather than social and political correctness?
How do you turn off the stupid chime?

Well, the chime has multiple "users"...seatbelt, key in ignition, headlights on, etc. What I did was just to muffle it.

OP hasn't posted in this thread since 'Nam.
He probably ended up going through his windshield while his car warmed up. This extremely serious issue affects hundred of people per decade.
Lmk when its solved. Back to the lab for more research for now.

Well. I did some calculations. And it seems that, as previously hypothesized by other scientists....one would need to either put on one's seat belt...or not let the car needlessly warm up.
Othet solutions may be to ignore the light on the dash. But this task may prove to be immense. Some say similar to ignoring a freight train when you live 6 feet away from the tracks.
Another alternative would be to dive into an incredibly complex system of wires and computers and reprogram them to do good instead of bad. Similar to what John Connor achieved in Terminator 2-4. But...as you saw, its not that easy. And your fate is not written.
I did not factor the earth's rotational pull on the crab nebula into ANY of my calculations (n00b move). But I've applied for an additonal genius grant budget of $1.6B. Which; with frugal planning and additonal support from the science community, should be enough. Thusly permanently solving this issue that plagues mankind.
