If you have a bypass valve or a filter sock, it wont hurt to leave it on. Just dont drive through puddles a mile deep like you hopefully wouldnt do in the summer.

I dont understand why people are risking voiding their warranty for 3hp and an annoying droaning noise... CAI's are lame, IMO but hey if that makes you happy go for it

if youre concerned about hydrolocking a bypass valve is a good investment or just cut the AEM tube and convert it to a SRI for snowy/rainy days

Joke how? They are more functional than stock intakes in terms of air restriction.... I'm not a CAI person myself, I don't want to even have to think about hydrolock or anything else, so I got a SRI... much better sound than stock, and you can hear it breathing better, used to be I hit the gas and it sounded like the engine was sucking air through a straw...

You realize that to hydrolock an engine the filter would have to be almost entirely submerged. Water splashing on it or driving through puddles will not cause any problems at all..

I have the short ram intake and it sounds ******* great, there is no "annoying droaning noise!"
