I just got this '07 si 4dr and i noticed the little circular defrost vent on the top of the passenger side dash is loose. I can pull it up and totally out with no problem. It looks like it is supposed to clip in somehow, but i see nothing broken, the clip is intact on the vent and i dont see anything in the hole for it to clip to.
anyone else have this?

hmm, not yet. it's the little circular vent on the top passenger side of the dash...it's vents are not moveable and are aimed at the passenger side front window. It is just basically sitting there, with the right side propped up a bit, not flush. It just pulls up and out, and though there is a plastic clip type piece on the vent piece that pulls out, there is nothing in the hole it mounts in to clip to.
I researched on the net and one other person on TOV mentioned it in his (at the time) new '06.

Also, the car came with the **** gouged like this-
I called the dealership my broker sourced the car from and they said they'll replace everything, but the place is about an hour away and it'll take two trips probably...

call and tell them to order the parts
the vents "snap in" and the **** screws off
it can be done in the parking lot
tell them they are extremely far from you and you dont want to go... order parts
and have to come back at a later date.

Just to touch on the point type x made, they may ask for pictures if you do this, not saying that they are, but some dealerships are shady and want to get out of doing anything. But I'm sure your dealership is A ok. Just a heads up.

Re: (elklodgeezra)
i talked to them again and they said there is no way they can do it w/o me coming by. They said it's just Honda warranty policy. I drove over there, they took the car for 5 minutes and told me that they are going to order the new parts (**** and vent w/ clip) and i have to come back for them for installation. Evidently they have to send them back to Honda.
I remember a few years ago on my hatch, there was some strange OBDII recall where they checked the cat and replaced plugs, wires and changed your oil, all for free under the recall. Well, the dealership i am familiar with just gave me a box of stuff- a filter, plugs, wires, etc because they knew i certainly was not going to have them look at my car since it was running (at the time) an obd1 ecu and of course, no cat.
Well, we will see what happens. thanks y0
Maybe this is different, but hey, i tried!
