Default Please help

Hello

I've checked online as to what the problem with my vehicle might be and it seems that although everyone has a similar problem, there are always different solutions. I know that it might be impossible to diagnose a mechanical problem without seeing the vehicle yourself, but I would really, really appreciate some help.

I have a 2007 Honda Civic and my car sometimes does not start. It will not start with the first try, but always starts with the second. The difference between my problem and that of the person who posted a similar problem before me is that my problem does not happen every time I start the car, but only after the car was stopped for a few hours (usually overnight).

The car does not make a grinding noise, doesn't make a clicking sound, doesn't make a 'rrrr-rrrr' noise that they have in movies when the teenagers are trying to get away from the ax murder and the car won't start. It sounds normal, but instead of the engine turning, it dies. The battery tests ok and I have recently had my throttle cleaned.

I live in Southern California and it doesn't get that cold out here. This engine problem is about two months old now, but since it happens occasionally and starts every second try, I haven't taken it in yet. I have 150K miles.

Thank you for reading

I would start with checking the battery. it could have low cranking amps.
