07 civic si coupe= notchy gears??
So I have had my 07 si coupe since january. It has a little over 2,000 miles on it and it still feels rather sticky on the clutch and notchy on the stick when i change gears. More noticably from second to third gear. At first I just figured it was because it was new and after a little bit of wear it would smoothen out. But it hasn't at all.
Any si owners have the same feeling?? My buddies RSX feels the same way too and thats the only other stick car I have ever driven so maybe its just me. He said he didnt notice anything when he drives his car.

I have more miles on mine then you and mines still notchy. It happens. Some cars take a while to break in, change your MTF fluid, new mounts blah blah.

There was a service bulleting about the tranny oil. I'll see if I can find it.
edit: errr I can't find it. It was something about the mtf it shipped with caused it to feel notchy. I think they fixed later in the 2007 year by going to the fluid they used for 2006. Or you can look into some GM syncromesh fluid.

Re: 07 civic si coupe= notchy gears?? (Farmer Brown)
It happens to everybody i have a notchy 2cd when down shifting close to every time and 3rd its notchy from time to time i think its a big matter of timing the clutch and shifting. I have got to use to knowing its going to be notchy so i try to clutch and shift as fast and smooth as i can if i shift slow it will grind a little or feel notchy. I feel your pain as well as others its sucks the tranny acts this was just dont think about it and shift with confidence its help me alot but i will be putting amsoil or the new honda MTF in very soon.

yeah, I was thinking a new mt fluid would make it better. If I go into honda and tell them I dont know if they would change the fluid for free. Because they arent going to admit theres a problem with it.
