**MY WIFE'S LETTING ME BOOST**
Ok guys, ill get straight to it. I bought my 08 si sedan in November of 09' and so far what i have done...
Exterior:
8000k HIDs
JDM yellow fogs
Red emblems
Red Brake Calipers
INTERIOR:
Skunk2 shift ****
PERFORMANCE:
Takeda short ram intake (says 17hp 15tq) (bullshit: maybe 5 to 8hp)
P2R throttle body spacer (says 4.5 whp gain) (bullshit: i think i lost power)
Tsudo 70mm cat-back exhaust (says 7-10hp) (again bullshit: i definitely lost power)
BUT ANYWAYS!!! this has nothing to do with the topic but sometimes i feel like my car is slower somedays and some days its faster... i dont know why but whatever...
NOW THE REAL THING!!! As you all know im married, its tough being married and having to save and listening to ur wife complain "oh we have to save for our future and kids and if you keep spending money on ur car we will never get anywhere" BUT THINGS CHANGED!!!
This morning i woke up and my wife said ILL LET YOU BOOST UR CAR. AFTER THAT, NO MORE!!! i couldnt believe it guys!! So i figured this is what ill do... Im going Full-Race turbo kit GT3076R hopefully make close to 400HP and im getting my forged internals done becuz i wanna bulletproof motor instead of dealing with these garbage *** bolt-ons for minimal hp gains. Besides im tired of getting beat by bitch *** srt-4's and evos and sti's... i wanna be like that guy from AJP!! haha and im getting an engine dress up kit. I told my wife its part of the kit and it helps out fuel economy so she's down with it haha
Any thoughts? c'mon i never thought it could happen to me!!! now im anxious my car goes in the shop next weekend

Re: **MY WIFE'S LETTING ME BOOST**
OP. I'm not sure what would make you think you lost power with a 70mm exhaust but I would venture to say you are wrong.
You might want to reconsider the forged internals especially if you plan on only making 400whp. The gt30 might not even be able to hit that.
My tuner advised me that if I plan on keeping my car a daily driver then forged may not be the way to go. Honda selects alloys for the pistons and block that offer similar rates of thermal expansion which gives long life and maintains compression and oil consumpsion throughout the life of the motor. When you get forged alloys you lose those characteristics and over time you get pistons that will rock and in a sense jiggle and give small vibrations due to not having a tight fit anymore which will lead to more oil blow by and compression losses which will require a rebuild sooner than if you had OEM items.
I made 414whp and 302 torque on dyno jet and ran stock clutch and internals. This week I am putting in a clutch and RSX type S oil pump and upping the boost to about 15 to give me 490-500whp. I was advised that I don't need internals unless I want to go more than that. I've been running over 400whp for a year now.

Money spend on depreciating assets... may as well throw it in the trash can.
