OEM cd player problems
My girlfriend got an 06 si a few months back and everything has been working fine with not the first problem....today when she is leaving school her cd player starts making the ticking noise and will not load in a new cd.
Has anyone here had this problem or have any input as to what I could do to fix it.
btw its just a single disc cd player

the only thing you can do now is replace the audio unit. if it's still under warranty they will replace it for you, or they can send it out to get repaired if it's not under warranty.

Re: OEM cd player problems
Is there a cd stuck in it? Its more of a hassle than its worth. Id get a new cd player, it sounds like the motor in your cd player might be fried. Slot loading cd players use a motor to load and eject the cds, so if it is not loading then your motor might be busted. But you mentioned that it is making a "ticking noise" so your motor might not be messed up, instead it might be stuck. If you have the cd player out of your vehicle you could crack it open and see what might be going on. But to save you the hassle, I would suggest buying a new one or if it is still under warranty have it replaced.
