OK guys. You have been so helpful with answering questions and help me get my siren installed in my Civic. I had a friend take a look at my car and said that he didn't think it was a hassle removing the bumber for the speaker, nor installing the siren box under the passenger seat. This guy is really good with cars. Anyway, he looked at my car and said that the biggest challege that we will probably have is to run some wires thru the firewall. Everything is so tight in the engine compartment. I'm sure it can be done. He is going to do some research. While he is doing his research, I thought I would ask here, since a lot of you guys really know what the hell you're talking about.

I have learned a lot on here and have gotten a lot of good advice. So far, this is where we are at. I am going to have the speaker installed and as of right now, it looks like it will mount to the inside of the bumper itself. We are not positive, because we haven't removed the bumper. We'll know more soon. The siren amp box will mount under the right passenger seat (unless we run into problems), and the LEDs will most likely be sold. I think it is just a hassle trying to mount them and it just adds to the amount of wires that need to be fished thru the firewall.

As far as hooking into the horn or transmission for some of the features on the siren, I have decided against it, due to the comment someone made about voiding warranties.

My main question. Does anyone have advice on the best place to get wires thru the firewall. Can you use an existing whole or do you need to drill one. What is involved? Has anyone done it?

theres a rubber grommet a little higher than the gas pedal. stick a screw driver in there and sorta pry it open a little so you can shove wires through. a snake would be helpful.

Thanks for your reply. I have a 2008 Civic SI? Are those pigs of the same year and model? If not, it may not matter. There probably similar.

same firewall setup with same grommets. i sold my system to my friend who has an Si. the only trouble i had was gettin my arm around the beefy *** k20 and i have a thin arm lol. good luck

I got my wires fished thru the firewall. Wow! I couldn't believe how hard that was. Also, the civic is so small It killed me trying to get it fed thru. Both the engine compartment and interior is so tight. Thanks for your help.
